What this covers

New sockets, switches, lighting circuits and extractor fans.

Do this first

  • Keep clear of sparking fittings, burning smells or flood water near electrics.
  • Do not keep resetting a breaker or RCD that trips immediately.
  • Note which rooms lost power and photograph the consumer unit if it is safe.
